Yes you could, and once you get so far into your specialty you will want to branch out a little so you can adept to the battlefield happenings. But if you want to truely survive and make an impact it is better to stick with one thing and build it....

Hmm I`m sure I heard on here that the player you are healing needs to do damage (in a certain amount of time) in order to get points for it. My in game experience bares that out as well.
